The short answer
Permanent brows in Atlanta run from about $450 to $800 all-in at my studio, including the perfecting session. You'll need two appointments six to eight weeks apart, and a color refresh every one to three years. If you already have old brows you don't like, that changes the plan, and I cover it below.

What Is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup (also called cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation) uses a specialized device to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin. Unlike traditional body tattoos that go deep into the dermis, permanent makeup sits closer to the surface — which is why results fade over time and require touch-ups, typically every 1–3 years depending on the technique and your skin type.
It's not truly permanent, but it lasts far longer than anything you're applying each morning.

Microblading, ombre, nano, or combo — designed for your face
Permanent Brows: Microblading vs. Powder Brows vs. Combo
Brows are the most popular permanent makeup service — and also the one with the most technique options. The right choice depends on your skin type, natural brow hair, and the look you're going for.
Microblading
Microblading uses a hand tool with fine needles to create hair-like strokes in the skin. The result looks incredibly natural, almost like real brow hairs were added. Best for clients with normal-to-dry skin and some natural brow hair to work with. Not ideal for oily skin — oil causes the strokes to blur over time, losing that crisp, defined look.
Powder Brows (Ombre Brows)
Powder brows use a machine to build soft, pixelated color across the brow, similar to how a brow powder looks applied with a brush. The front of the brow is lighter, the tail is darker. This technique works on all skin types, including oily, and tends to hold longer than microblading.
Combination Brows
Combination brows blend both — hair strokes at the front for a natural-looking start, powder fill through the body and tail for density and definition. This is what most clients end up choosing because it gives the best of both techniques.
Important: All brow services require a touch-up appointment 6–8 weeks after the initial session. Skin heals differently for everyone, and the touch-up is where your artist corrects any areas that faded unevenly and refines the shape.
What Permanent Brows Cost at My Studio
I'd rather you see real numbers than "call for pricing." These are my current prices. Every brow service includes the consult, numbing and written aftercare.
I specialize in brows. I don't offer lip blush or permanent eyeliner. More on brow removal pricing.
How Many Sessions It Really Takes
New brows: two appointments. The first visit is about three hours. Around an hour of that is consultation and mapping: I measure your face, draw the shape on, and you approve it in the mirror before any pigment goes in. The perfecting session is six to eight weeks later, once you've healed and we can see what held.
Then a refresh every one to three years. Nano brows usually last 18 months to two and a half years, ombré two to three years, combo a year and a half to two and a half, and microblading 12 to 18 months. Oily skin, sun and strong skincare all shorten that.
Removing old brows: usually 4 to 8 sessions, spaced 8 to 12 weeks apart. Brows that were tattooed more than once can take longer. If someone promises one to three sessions, they're guessing.
Already Have Brows You Don't Love?
This is most of my permanent makeup work now. Old microblading that healed grey, blue or orange. Powder brows that are too dark or too far down the face. Brows done somewhere else that just don't look like you.
You have three options, and I'll tell you honestly which one fits: work over it if it's faded and a neutral color, color-correct it if the shape is fine but the tone is off, or lighten it first with laser and saline and then redo it on clean skin. I do all three in the same studio, which means you won't be sent across town halfway through.
Before any removal, I treat a test spot at the brow tail and wait four weeks, because some cosmetic pigments turn darker under a laser instead of lighter. Better to learn that on a spot the size of a grain of rice. Read the full removal guide →
Where the Studio Is
I'm at 1755 The Exchange SE, Suite 318, Atlanta, GA 30339, right off I-75 at the Delk Road exit (261), a few minutes north of The Battery. Parking is at the building. Most clients come from Smyrna and Vinings (about 10 minutes), Marietta (12 to 15), and Buckhead or Sandy Springs (15 to 20). Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10 to 7 and Saturday 10 to 4.
Who Is Permanent Makeup Right For?
Permanent makeup works well for clients who:
- Want to simplify their morning routine
- Have sparse, thin, or uneven brows
- Have allergies or sensitivities that make brow makeup uncomfortable
- Are active and tired of makeup fading during workouts
- Have vision or dexterity challenges that make applying makeup difficult
It's not the right fit for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, on certain medications (like blood thinners or Accutane), or prone to keloid scarring. A consultation before booking gives your artist the chance to screen for contraindications.
What to Expect at Your Atlanta Appointment
A permanent makeup appointment starts with a shape consultation before any pigment touches your skin. I map the brow shape with removable pencil, and you approve the design before anything begins.
Numbing cream is applied and allowed to sit for 20–30 minutes, so discomfort during the procedure is minimal for most clients. The actual tattooing takes 1–2 hours depending on the service.
Aftercare is simple: keep the area dry for the first week, avoid picking at any flaking, and skip active exfoliants (retinol, acids) near the treated area while healing.
