Prep is what keeps you safe and gets the best result:

Shave the area 12–24 hours before — do not wax, pluck, thread, or use hair-removal creams for 2–4 weeks before (the follicle must stay intact).
No sun, tanning beds, or self-tanner on the area for at least 2 weeks before.
Arrive with clean skin — no lotion, deodorant, or makeup on the area.
Pause retinol on the area and let us know about any new medications.

For the next 24–48 hours:

Avoid sun and wear SPF on any exposed treated skin — sun protection is essential.
Skip hot showers, saunas, swimming, and sweaty workouts for 24–48 hours.
Don’t exfoliate the area for 48 hours.
Treated hairs will shed over the next 1–3 weeks — that’s normal, not regrowth.
Between sessions, only shave — never wax or pluck.
